Emanny was born in New York City and is a part of a musical family. It was only a matter of time before he followed in his family’s footsteps. At the age of 14, he decided he wanted to pursue music seriously and he hasn’t looked back since. His musical talent has placed him in the studio and on stage with major artists such as Trey Songz, Tank, Miguel, Ginuwine, Patti Labelle, the late Gerald Levert, Jadakiss and frequent collaborator Joe Budden.
Songs About HER 2 starts off with the intro “S.A.H. 2,” about a girl who is poison for him but he can’t get enough. That’s why he continues to sing these songs about her.
Koran Graham also produced the album’s next track “Work On Me.” With the incorporation of the bassline from Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg’s “Deep Cover,” also known as “187,” and Emanny’s sultry vocals, this is a standout on the album. He sings about a girl with a cold heart who chews men up and spits them out. While her games may work on other guys, they won’t work on him.
“Keep Tellin’ HER” was originally featured on the DJ Soulless hosted mixtape The Motion. Emanny sings about all his wrongdoings in his relationship and how although he keeps telling HER exactly what she wants to hear, she still wants to leave.
Emanny has watched this girl cry over someone who is no good for her and try to heal her pain with alcohol. He tries to convince her that she should be “Sober” instead of letting her love get wasted. What he really wants her to do is give him a chance so he can show her that with him, happiness isn’t temporary.
Emanny calls “Show You” the album’s designated panty dropper. He sings about a girl he can’t get off his mind and how much he wants to show her what he wants to do to her. After all, he can show her better than he can tell her.
His girl thinks he’s playing with her heart on “Come Home (Interlude)” but he wants her to know that he wants her to come back home to him because he would go crazy without her.
Another panty dropper on the album is “Ya Sex,” a song about the amazing sex Emanny has with HER. He loves her sex and the way she screams his name.
On “Thee End (Interlude),” a prince asks a princess to marry him and she tells him no. And guess what, he lived happily ever after.
The J.U.S.T.I.C.E League produced track “Reflections” originally wasn’t supposed to make the album but I’m glad it did. On the perfectly vulgar track, he wonders what this other guy has on him that makes his girl want to cheat and f**k in his mirror.
Emanny has admitted that “Perfect” is one of his favorite songs on the mixtape. It was produced by Atlanta producer Drocc and is about how his girl is perfect to him. The song has a different vibe than the other songs on the album.
Songs About HER 2 isn’t a mixtape that should be taken lightly. It is guaranteed to put you in the mood for love making.
